GLP-1 medications · semaglutide and tirzepatide

Semaglutide and tirzepatide in Nashville, started after labs and managed every week.

The two GLP-1 medications most Nashville clinics prescribe from a form. We prescribe them after a 75-minute visit and a lab draw, dose up slowly, and put a nurse in your week.

  • Prescribed by a nurse practitioner after labs, with the physician reviewing every plan.
  • Compounded by a licensed pharmacy, described as compounded, with the dose written at every step.
  • A nurse check-in every week, in person or on video, so side effects are managed in days.
  • $349 a month for semaglutide, $449 for tirzepatide, everything included. No intro price.

Why it works

What the medication does, and what it does not.

Semaglutide and tirzepatide copy hormones your gut makes after a meal. Appetite drops, fullness comes sooner and stays longer, and for many people that makes eating less feel ordinary rather than heroic. That is the whole mechanism. It does not choose what you eat, protect your muscle, or know when to stop, which is why the plan carries a dietitian, a body composition reading and a taper.

Sold under brand names you will have heard of, the molecules are the same; what we prescribe is a compounded version prepared to your prescription by a licensed pharmacy. It is not FDA-approved and we will not tell you it is identical to a brand. We tell you which pharmacy and we record every dose.

The Starting Line, in four steps

  1. 01

    Labs

Drawn on site at the first visit: metabolic panel, thyroid, A1c, lipids. Back within two business days. Nothing is prescribed before they are.

  2. 02

    Body composition

Muscle, fat and water, not just a number on a scale. Repeated at week twelve so the plan protects muscle, not just the total.

  3. 03

    The plan

Medication if any, the dose schedule, the weekly check-in day, two dietitian sessions, the monthly NP visit, the price, and the exit plan. In writing, yours to keep.

  4. 04

    The weekly

The same nurse every week, in person before work or on video at lunch. Side effects, dose, food, the hard week. A person, not a portal.

Who this is for, and who it is not

For
  • Adults whose labs and body composition support medication, after the Starting Line.
  • People who have tried a telehealth subscription and want a clinician who answers the phone.
  • People who want the dose, the price and the ending written down before the first injection.
Not for, or not yet
  • Anyone pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • A personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2, a history of pancreatitis, or certain other conditions the Starting Line screens for.
  • Anyone who wants medication without the weekly check-in. That is the part that makes it safe to prescribe.

Illustrative stories. Wrenhaven is a fictional clinic; these are written examples, not patient reviews.

Dana started me at the lowest dose and held it for a month because the labs said my thyroid needed a look first. Nobody had ever slowed me down before.

Illustrative story, semaglutide

The nausea in week two was real. One call, one dose held, one week later it was fine.

Questions

Questions people ask before they book

Still unsure? Call (615) 555-0164 and ask Jordan.

Semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Dana decides with you at the Starting Line from your labs, history, appetite pattern and budget. Tirzepatide works on two gut hormones and costs more; semaglutide works on one and has the longer track record. Both are managed the same way here.

How much will I lose?

We do not say. Results vary widely with dose, food, sleep, medication history and the person. The body composition reading at week twelve tells you what changed and where, which is the number that matters.

Is compounded medication safe?

It is prepared by a licensed pharmacy to a prescription written for you, and it is not FDA-approved. We use one pharmacy, name it, and record the dose at every step. If you prefer a brand-name product, Dana will say what that involves.

Do I inject myself?

Yes, once a week, at home. The first dose is given here with the nurse teaching you; most people find the second one unremarkable.

What if I miss a week?

Call. The nurse will tell you whether to take it late or skip, depending on how late, and the plan notes it.

What happens at week twelve?

Labs again, a body composition reading, and a decision with Dana: continue, step down, or move to the maintenance program. The exit plan was on page two from day one.
