Marcus Bell, RN
IV Lead and Check-in Nurse
Marcus places every drip and runs the weekly check-ins, in person before work or on video at lunch. If your plan is his, he is the one who answers when you call.
Recovery IV · fluids, electrolytes, B vitamins, anti-nausea option
A litre of fluids and electrolytes with B vitamins and an optional anti-nausea medication, placed by a nurse, $219. For training weeks, flights and the morning after a late one. We stay honest about what a drip can do for any of those.

Results vary from person to person. Nothing on this page is a promise of weight lost or kept off, and a program may be declined after the Starting Line if it is not right for you.
Why it works
Hard training, long flights and late nights all leave you short of fluid and salts, and sometimes queasy. A litre of electrolyte fluid replaces what you are missing faster than you can drink it, and the anti-nausea option lets you keep food down afterwards. That is useful on a Saturday morning before a long run, or on a Monday after a red-eye.
It does not undo a late night, because nothing does, and it does not repair muscle or shorten recovery in any measurable way we would put our name to. If you ask the nurse whether you need it, you will get a straight answer, which is occasionally no.

Illustrative stories. Wrenhaven is a fictional clinic; these are written examples, not patient reviews.
Race week, two drips, both before 8 am. Marcus talked me out of a third. That is why I go back.
Red-eye from Seattle, chair at 7, desk at 8:30. Fluid, not magic, and he said so.
No. It replaces fluid and salts and can settle your stomach. Time does the rest.
It rehydrates you faster than drinking. We make no claim beyond that; the evidence does not support one.
A prescription anti-nausea medication the nurse can add if you are queasy, under the clinic protocol. It is offered, not sold.
Seven on weekdays, eight on Saturday. Book the first chair and you are out by nine.
Yes, with the nurse deciding on timing. Many people book it two days out rather than the morning of.
